Robert Graves Elementary School Students

Students at Robert Graves elementary School in Port Ewen just completed their first Art After School Art Block on Sub Saharan Africa! With the instruction of an accomplished fine artist and art historian, these kids explored the culture and artwork of several African countries. They made Tanzanian TingaTinga paintings, Zimbabwe Clay Birds, Ghana Kente Weavings, Adinkra Stamped Cloth, Kenya Maasai Warrior Shields and Masks! Along the way students had a fabulous opportunity to learn color theory and experience the joy of mixing & creating individual colors.
